Building a mag; need some parts help

Hello all. I am currently in the middle of building my uber-lightweight mag. Right now I have a warp-right ULE body, wingless Roguerail, vert ASA, CP gas-thru foregrip, RPG vert frame, qloader and ULT'd x-valve. All I need now is the little stuff; screws and that paraphrenalia(sp?). I know I need a field strip screw, a front frame screw, and one more piece for the sear assembly. I have the sear assembly itself, I just need the......axel, I guess you could call it. The little piece the sear rotates around. I took the one out of my micromag, but it doesn't fit. I was wondering if anyone know the specific part I needed. Also, if there's anything I'm forgetting, please pipe in!

PS. Just to let you know, I will be also putting on a 14" stiffi barrel and a CenterFlag 45/45k tank. With a maxflo tank and a Freak barrel I've already lost 2 lbs from my micromag!

Post a list of every piece you need.

I for one have 0 mags (had 3) but have a ton of small parts. I must have 8 field strip screws. The 'axel' is called the sear pin. Based on your rail, I'd say you are looking for an RT sear pin. I can't help you there (unless you want to buy an entire e-mag rail which I know you don't).

Like I said, post a list and then send me a self addressed envolope.

well, part of what I need is advice on exactly what I need. I know I need the following, but I'm not sure if that's it.

      1) front frame screw
      2) field strip screw
      3) sear pin

      Can anyone else pitch in?

basically, this is what I'm asking: I think the above mentioned 3 parts are all I need to get this mag running. Can anyone tell me that I need some other small part? As far as what sear pin goes, I have a roguerail.

well, I guess that's it. I'll PM you about parts, and some more that I know I need (air fittings and stuff).

The part you're looking for is the Emag/RT Sear Axle Pin, they're $6.00 from the AGD store. You could probably get one cheaper by PM'ing a vendor though, such as Tunaman or RogueFactor. To clarify, AGD uses the term 'sear pin' for the classic sear assembly that goes into the original Automag/Minimag rails, and the term 'sear axle' is usually reserved for the threaded pin that is part of the assembly in the Emag/RT rails. If the pin you have doesn't work in the rail, it's quite possible the sear won't either. The RT sear assembly is different from the AM/MM classic sear assembly, so you might need to double check that.

Also, you don't specify in your post, but you might also need the Rail Bushing, which is a $1.00 part that goes between the rail and the trigger frame to align the rear end of the marker with the valve assembly. When you secure the body, rail and trigger frame with the front frame screw, the back end of the trigger frame shouldn't wobble left/right even without the valve/field strip screw in place. If it does, you're missing the bushing.

thanks; i do need bushings. How can I find out what sear assembly I have? It came with my x-valve for no obvious reason, but it's a $30 piece so I'll take it. So how do I figure out what I have, and which one do I need for the RogueRail? Thanks for the advice Dryden.

You need the RTP sear assembly for use with the RogueRail.
                It should look like this:
                RTP Sear
The sear axle that this sear uses is located here:

What you need looks like this ...

The sear has a brass bushing through the center and the sear pin screws into the rail. That is the RT type assembly. A standard AM/MM assembly would have a simple steel pin and the sear doesn't have the bushing through the center of it.

ok. my sear doesn't have the bushing, so I guess I need the sear assembly and the pin (axel). Thanks again.
