Flatline Problem?

My friend and I bought the same Minimags 3 years ago. Over the years we have upgraded everything. Now he's running a Level 10 ReTro Valve and I sold my ReTro for a X-Valve. His preset PMI Pure Energy runs at 800 - 850 psi. I'm using a Flatline, before I had a flatline I had the same tank as him. When we both had the same setup, his was always MORE reactive.

This year I got a used AGD Flatline 68/3000. I've set the pressure from 800, 850, 900, and 1000 psi. I still do not get the same reactiveness that he gets from his preset.

Before I installed the Flatline, I oiled the o rings and greased the reg piston. It was all clean. I've used it for only one day of play and shot it a thousand times at home. On one rare moment I got some runaway from my 'Mag at 1000 psi, but most of the time the reg leaks from the front because my pressure is too high.

Another friend of mine has the same AGD Flatline and his can do runaway at about 850 psi.

I'm using a warp feed and Y-Grip with Ricochet Apache loader. I want to take full advantage of a super bouncy trigger.

The point of my question is: WHY CAN'T I GET GOOD BOUNCE?????????????

Not illegal for me and Z-Man says it doesn't cause more wear. I may wear quicker because it shoots faster but not more wear per each shot. (if that makes any sense) The only thing that will wear out is maybe the bumper and sear. Easy to replace.........

I want more SPEED!!!!!

.. i read somewhere on a thread that the X valves were a Hair less reactive than older RT and retro valves...but.. i got mad bounce out of my X valved, ULT'd mag.. i have sound clips of it doing around 22 CPS...it was crazy...but as for you.. i dont know why it isnt reactive...

My friend told me that he read about the ReTro being more reactive than the X-Valve, but i don't understand why. If so that's not fair

the hole 2 part desighn going into the Xvalve was:
1: lighter
2: less reactive but higher speeds

You are SO wrong...

The reason that the Xvalve is less reactive is this...

They had to change how the power tube mounted to the rest of the valve body, in doing so, it took up space in the dump/air chamber. To fix that, they drilled holes down the side of the body to increase the chamber size again. Tom has mentioned that the drilling part could (and apparently has) reduced the reactive kick.

So, where exactly did you get your information about #2 on your list? Cuz you are WAY off. How about you actually know what you're talking about before you say something like that.

Sounds like I have almost the same setup and the same performance as you do. I bought an X-valve mainly for some bounce. My Flatline wont go high enough to make my trigger very reactive. If hook it up to my nitro fill station using a remote adapter and turn the pressure down to 1100 psi my X-valve goes nutz!!! Just cant find a mobile air source that will give me the pressure I need. Ive wanted to try a max-flow but havent had the chance. Guess I'll just wait for the hAIR trigger frame instead of spending $300-$400 on another air tank set-up. I've heard a shorter on/off pin might help it be more reactive. Maybe you should call AGD and order a few shorter pins and see which one works best. There is also a post in here somewhere about grinding them down a little at a time, but I wouldnt without a replace on hand in case you go to far. To much will make your mag full auto and maybe even a run away, where it wont quit until you shut off the air supply. Good luck!!!

I'm currently talking with Tunaman to try and fix the problem. He told me to try a shorter pin, which i already bought from AGD months ago. It kinda helped but now the gun doesn't fully recock or cycle. The bolt sticks really bad. When I pull the trigger all the way back nothing happens. My Flatline is putting out about 900 psi to the X-Valve.
