Hole in the side of E-Mag valve?

When I was using my E-Mag on Saturday I was having some issues with my Flatline recharging quickly enough for it. So I cranked the pressure up to about 1100 psi to see if that would help. It did a little, but I noticed I got an occasional leak coming out of the hole on the side of the valve. Is this hole for bleeding off excess pressure or is something else causing the leak?

That's an over-pressure saftey. It makes sure you don't send non-regulated air into the air chamber, thus resulting in a REALLY hot shot.

Lube the reg pin, if that doesn't solve it, replace the pin.

I noticed it stopped venting when I turned the pressure back down to about 850-900psi. I just got this back from Tuna so I imagine if the reg pin would need replaced he would have noticed it. I'll try lubing it.
