AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
It shows the plunger with the sear assembly but I didn't get one when I ordered mine, so I assume it doesn't. You do need to unscrew the old one from the sear assembly.
Loosen the locknut on the top of the plunger.
Grip the solenoid plunger threaded rod with a pair of pliers and the plunger with another pair (carefully so you don't beak the plunger).
Twist the plunger off the rod. If it doesn't break free right away, apply a bit of heat to break the thread sealer bond.
Put the locknut and plunger on the new assembly. Put a drop of locktight on the threaded rod to prevent the plunger from moving once you get it properly adjusted.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
