Minimag wont fire HELP!

k, so I bought a used minimag with a level 10 bolt mod on it, and all the extra bolt tuning parts.

Anyways, it doesnt fire so I take it into a local shop, they say its missing the "valve spring", in the very back right in front of the velocity settings... so... they give me one they think will work, but dont know and send me packin.

I take it home, get it all installed and it looks like the part on the airgun site. It was this http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fu...&categoryID=18 spring. It looks like that spring.

It still wont fire.

I have the tank rings on right because when I screw it in the tank hisses then seals up nice. I tighten the velocity and eventually the velocity starts to leak out the end, and then it fires ONCE and gives up.

I've taken it all apart, it has all the spacers and washers for the bolt mod, the only thing I can think is that could the sprind they gave me not work, causing it to not fire maybe?

I mean, help please! Im 100 percent noob here, I only have mechainal skills and no paintball background.

Any help would be GREATLY apprecieated.

And yes, i tried a different spring and spacer in the level 10 mod and its still being as lame as ever.

If the trigger rod pops out behind the trigger, and then you pull it and nothing happens, the on/off pin is too long. I guess you could make sure the little o-ring is seated properly, otherwise I don't know.

Well see, it fired ONCE, so I know the trigger setup works.

When the CO2 is in the trigger becomes stiffer then when no c02 is in, so I know that works.

What o-ring are you talking about?

Sometimes when I put the velocity in too far it leaks out the back.

The leaking out the back is a safety feature. It vents the air when the pressure is too high.

I had the same problem. It would fire once, and then quit. Shortening the on/off pin fixed it. Check your pin and make sure it's fat all around, the other pins have a fat head and then get thin. The o-ring I'm talking about is the small white one when you remove the onoff unit from the valve, and look down inside.

K so I got the trigger setup, ect... I put gas in and it hisses, so i lighten off the velocity. when I tighten the velocity at all it hisses, BUT if i pull the trigger down the hissing STOPS.

Where is the leak?!

If its not shooting, de-gas and change the bolt spring to a lighter one[again reference the LX info]
Gas it up and try to shoot if it shoots and sticks forward, go down a carrier.

Does it look exactly like this?
If it looks exactly the same it should be ok.

Once it fires, if you are unable to get the velocity up with out it leaking out the back, you can try oiling the reg piston[brass thing in the back of the valve] or replacing it. http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fu...&categoryID=18

I tried to cover everything but I probably missed something so if this does not help or fix the problems hit us back here and we, or at least I will do my best.

Right now it wont even fire!

I've had it apart and checked EVERYTHING and even when I mess with the velocity it doesnt fire.

I had the wrong o-rings, but it didnt leak out the tank area, and the gun got *some* pressure. Does it need the proper tank o-rings and FULL pressure to fire?

What's happeneing is when I screw the tank in, I hear co2 kinda rush into the gun, but it wont fire.

The trigger was still limp at this point.

Then, when I tighten the velocity it leaks out the back or the front or wherever.

I am trying to get ahold of good o-rings, but I cant for awhile.

I DID set the trigger gap.

One thing I notice... on the plug on the valve, the one with the little pin in it... the pin drops down some and sometimes gets STUCK on the hole in the main body that covers the vavle assembly. What I did to fix this is when re-assembling by putting the valve back in the gun I press down hard enough on the spring so that the middle of the valve plug/pin in the bottom line up with the hole that the trigger strikes, but it STILL doesn't fire.

Grr, any other ideas?

Make sure you have a full fill on your tank. If you messed with the rod length behind the trigger that may be your problem. Your not supposed to adjust that rod length. Make sure with the marker is aired up there is a small gap behind the trigger.

Before the trigger rod was pushed tight against the trigger, i set it to 1/16th on either side.

I will get o-rings, and fill the tank (which FEELS empty because of all the times its leaked because of a ****ty o-ring.
