Why dosent the RT/X valve work with co2?

Because the valve recharges so quickly that it would suck liquid CO2 into the insides, freeze the seals and blow CO2 out of every orifice. You could use it for like 3 shots before it freezes.

The main thing is that co2 does not provide the require pressure; even if the valve could handle it co2 would not feed it well. The Rt like 700+ psi and co2 is only 800 at room temperature and drops very quickly when you shoot fast.

fwiw you can do it but I promise you will not get satisfactory results. this coming from a co2 freak that has run co2 on bushy imps and cockers and always will.

people have done it with limited success, it is possible. But it is just not practical, a decent N2 tank is under $200. A Co2 setup running well enough (not allowing any liquid co2 into the valve) will almost cost the same amount, and it still won't perform as well as the cheapest of n2 systems (under 80$).

Just buy a HPA tank. I just got through buying a crossfire 47/3000 off ebay for $50 shipped. Just gotta watch for the hydro dates on them, mine was just hydro tested and not due for another 5 years.

You guys forget the problem with HPA - not all fields fill it.

Best bet is to switch out the Xvalve for an AIR when you absolutely have to run CO2. CO2 is useless for the high recharge rates the xvalve can handle anyways, why not use a slower valve that's meant to use CO2?

All of the fieds in this hick state fill HPA, but yes I do forget since I own my own fill station.

well....i dont have an RT nor am i gonna buy one anytime soon...my stabed classic on co2 is more then fine

also couldnt you use a reg like a stab (virtually emliminates all co2 that gets in the gun) to remedy the freeze related problems?

and about the guy that said co2 is 800 psi at room......when i would get a tank filled to screw in my phantom the gauge would read 1100psi ..and that is more then a preset puts out ....and if my gauge was wrong ...preset hpa puts oput 800 anyway
