i know it may sound dumb but make sure ur tank has enough air in it, mags dont run well with tanks that are low

Make sure that ur tank has enough output pressure in order to fire the marker. The Automag is a high pressure valving system it needs at least 750-800 psi output. Also that make sure u screw in ur tank all the way in once it gasses up. If you have a CP on/off or somthing make sure once it gasses up u turn the on/off half a turn. Do you have a parts kit for ur automag? If you dont make sure u have one so that way u can change the orings when it leaks or needs replacing. I would recommand getting a 69/4500 because i get more rounds per shot around 1000 with an Xvalve. Well hope this helps.

If you are using the shortest bolt spring, then there may be some room for recharge problems. Maybe you are short stroking the trigger at higher rates of fire. Maybe your air setup has a restriction of some sort in the air line (ie; ASA pin too long, tank pressure too low, pinched hose, etc.). Maybe the bolt spring is worn out. There are a few things that can cause interference with the recharge.

Usually, since the X-valve uses the level 10 bolt system we can figure that the valve is charging properly. If the valve was not fully charging, the chamber would not have enough pressure to push the bolt forward and fire the ball at all. Therefore the dropoff mst be caused by a sequence of events after the bolt is released. I would suspect a bolt stick issue of some sort. Try going to a larger level 10 carrier if you can.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

i went 1 size larger and it leaked so ....
it might of been short stroking butill check that out
and another this is when i air up the gun the first shot i take the bolt stiks for ward a little then the air comes outa the hole in the x valve then if i pull again its ok
it only does this the 1st shot i take when i air it up
and yes the tank is running hp output and has 2000 psi left

OH I am sorry you gave the setup. I have had the same problem that starts when my ball detent starts sticking. The bolt sticks between the detent and body. It will just be strange like there is not enough air. Broken springs give some strange symptoms but you have for sure taken the gun apart.

When you first air the gun up, hold the trigger in while doing it. Then quickly release the trigger. This helps set the o-rings.
