    could I have a serious problem here??

    This is the second time I think I've posted this.

    I swapped out my regular composite frame for a Intell ....

    I took my 68ci 4500psi tank that was filled to 4000psi out and shot about 180 rounds out of it to make sure the trigger was working .... it was rather nicely I will add...

    When I looked at the tank guage, it told me that the 180 rounds used up 1000 psi in my tank.

    Are all RT ULE's this much of a gas hog???

    Just curious because it looks like I'll be taking a backup tank with me to Shatnerball ....

      gas hogs...yes somewhat. but not THAT bad i can get 850 of a 70/56 fill u can get more out of the tank depending on your velocity and lvlX setup/spring

          I guess I'll have to use it at Shatnerball and keep track of how much paint I get through it before I run out of air.

              also should be plenty of agd techs and mag users to help u out there..u will be fine

                  It is hard to base the "Gas-hoggedness" on 180 shoot a full tank and then see how good/bad it is.
                  who cares how your marker looks...just move fast and shoot straight

                      Yeah ... but using 100psi after 180 rounds does seem rather steep. I'm going to gas up this weekend and give it a shot and see what happens. At least I'll have a better idea as to what is wrong.

                          Don't forget about a couple things. First, gauges on tanks aren't exactly known for precision so even the gauge read 4k psi, it could have been less than that (or more!).

                          Second, and directly correlated to first, the pressure in the tank after you dry-fired could be more or less than what the gauge reads. You could eaily have a multi-hundred psi swing simply because the gauges are inaccurate.

                          Third, your 'Mag's going to be a gas hog dry-firing no matter what, so don't let it cloud your judgement. Like you said, wait until Shatnerball when you're shooting paint and make sure you chrono, then fill your tank, then make sure you fill up your hopper.

                          My 'Mags are horribly inefficient when dry-firing, but I coud get almost 1000 rounds off my mech Mag with a 45/45, and with my E I can shoot about 900 'balls and still have approximately 1k psi left. I've still got plenty of air left at that point.

                          I don't care about efficiency as long as I can shoot what I bring on the field, and my Mags have never let me down. :)
