    Minimags, bottomlines, and drop forwards.

My first round of paintball, and I win a Minimag! Unfortunately, I have not
shot a mag and I am trying to customize it. Since all I have is the bare
marker, I need to do some purchasing to get it to what I think I will need/want.

    I've already chosen:
    J&J Ceramic
PMI Fixed pressure 4500 68cu HPA tank
    9V Revolution

My problem is that I want to use a bottom line to a drop forward to give the
gun good balance and clean look.

    1) What is a good drop forward to balance a minimag (J&J Cer, PMI fixed 68cu HPA)?

    2) What length of cable would give the cleanest (shortest) connection to
the tank using the recommended drop forward?

Check out a Warped Sportz drop forward or a KAPP Drop Zone II with on/off adapter.
Both are adjustable front-to-back and side-to-side and can accommodate screw-in tanks.
    ( I think yours is a screw-in).
    Warped Sportz has a built-in on/off.
If your tank is not a screw-in then get the KAPP.

Check out my setup. I have the Warped Sportz.

Ok, now I'm getting confused... as if I wasn't before.

I like the Kapp DZII drop forward. It doesn't appear to come with an on/off
valve. I understand the benefits of an on/off for tanks that don't have one (like mine).

But I'm now confused on what I would need to connect the minimag (with
vertical adapter) to the Kapp DZII.

I assume if the on/off is not purchased, I would need to get a bottomline
kit. If the On/off IS purchased, do I need a bottom line?

How does everything clamp down (w and w/o the on/off)?

It almost looks like if I were to get an air through grip and an on/off valve,
the only extra hardware would be the hose fitting between the two.

I'm not to worried about emergency CO2 tank necessity. If things really
go wrong, I could just disconnect everyting and use the CO2 on the vertical adapter.

Sorry for so many questions, I just want to get it right the first time.

KAPP Drop Zone II's...you can buy a nice adapter with On/Off that fits very snug into the KAPP drop forward. My friend has a black KAPP Drop Zone II for sale for like 45. Give him email at:

He just bought it this year. It's only four months old.

I, personally, hate the Drop Zone 2! It looks so dang ugly! I would get a Kapp Apocolypse Cradle with a Kapp Gas thru fore grip, and a macroline kit to connect the two.
