It is probably loctited in place. Red locktite breaks down with high temperature. Use a heat gun or a good lighter to heat it. Once you hear it sizzle a bit you can turn it easily.
Hope this helps.

agree only way it'll work. By breaking those three keys, you most likely stripped the screw. if you know you still didn't strip the screw, put the gun in a vice of some sort and use a pair of pliers to grab onto one end of the allen key and try and get it out that way. But by far, the quoted above is easiest.Originally posted by rb211Drill the center of the screw out. Start by using a bit just larger than the allen wrench hole and increase the size of the bit until you break the head off of the rest of the screw.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "thread of the body". If you are referring to the rail that your foregrip is attached to, there are no threads to damage. If you are referring to the foregrip, if you drill the top of the screw as I posted above, you wont damage anything , just make sure that you dont start with a bit that is not very much larger than the allen wrench hole. You don't have to drill very deep into the screw either. probably just a little bit deeper than the hole for the wrench. As you increase the bit size, you will eventually see the screw head start spinning with the drill bit. When you see this you are done. If you want to salvage the foregrip afterwards, heat the top of it and the screw will come out. Just grab the remans of the screw with a pair of vice grips and twist.Last edited by rb211; 09-12-2004, 07:50 AM.

Okay guys, if you have a Lowes nearby go buy a Grabit damaged screw remover. The website on the package is http://www.screwremover.com . I bought one a few weeks ago thinking it would come in handy someday. That day came sooner than expected. I used it last night to remove two allen bolts holding on a drop forward. I used a racheting hand driver that also folds at a 90 degree angle to give more torque. It worked like a champ. It says you can use a drill as long as it's at a slow speed. If you don't have a variable speed drill, the lowest setting is still too fast. So, you're better off just doing it with a hand driver (as long as you have one that you can fit the fitting into).
