Sure making barrel to paint match is right , but next time you play take a handful of balls out have a look at them.Unless your field is using an expensive paint and turning the paint like there suppose to your gonna end up with a majority of paint that is off sized and not round.
So I would recommend using a barrel or barrel kit that your budget can afford.Comment

I haven,t gone to afield just yet. I've been playing at a friends house-he has about 8 acres that we've built forts and structures out of old tractor tires. The paint I've been using is called bluestreak and zap.The bluestreak seems nicer than the zap.I ended up getting the custom parts barrel. I did notice that my other barrel has 4 raised grooves running through it not sure which barrel shoots better yetand both barrels are 12".Comment

Besides paint-barrels match I think barrels are one of the most overpriced accessories. If you haven't already you should read tom's tech tip on barrels. Basically about 8-10 inches effective length with maybe a couple inches of porting for noise reduction is optimal and anything past that is going to hurt efficiency and do nothing for accuracy. That said I think Lapco makes some pretty great barrels. My advice would be to peruse the used section of this forum and wait for a barrel you like to turn up for $20-30.Comment
