Hyperframe Owners: This happen to you?

I just Dusted off my Hypermag after 4 years of not playing. I noticed I left a 9 volt battery in there, no leakage or corrosion. Put a brand new battery in there........nothing. Dead. Zip.
I probably used it about 5 times because it was eating my bolts so I decided to go manual trigger instead. Anyone know what happened. I called Centerflag and ordered the full auto board anyway. Any suggestions??
P.S. The guys at Centerflag were real cool and tried to troubleshoot before letting me buying new board.
