First mag, first day of play, minor problems

Hey all, I just played for the first time today with my minimag, it is the older style valve (4 stars)and has a level 10. For the most part I was impressed, but every once in a while when I pulled the trigger it just "pooted" when it did this it would load a second ball.

I am running an anti-siphoned 20 oz co2 tank and a wgp ergo reg, the reg was mildly cold but not frosty, and my "nubbin" looks new, velocities at the chrono were very consistant.

any help I could get will be appreciated. Thanks!

If you have LX, you might have the carrier o-ring setup too tight.

I'm looking for duck hunt as we speak, yeah i may have short stroked it, I swear it has never happend to me before.....

Next Question! I put on a single trigger frame, and the bar that the trigger pushes was a little loose and there was a small air leak down the barrel, I unscrewed the bar until there was slight pressure on the trigger nad the leak stopped. Did I do that right?

When I turned it out too far it didn't shoot right.

          Thanks!

The trigger rod shouldn't touch the back of the trigger. If there is leaking that can be stopped by slightly touching the trigger, then remove a shim or two from the powertube.

A chuff every once in a while may be a carrier that is one size too tight.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Here's the official spec: Trigger Rod: 1.985" I doubt you could measure that w/ a standard ruler... you might want to get a good set of digitial calipers for $15-19.

Thanks for the tips, this is my first mag, and I'm still intimidated by the ziplock bag of o-rings I was given with the gun.
I'll have to figure out where the power tube is and them I'll try removing a shim, as the leaking did stop with slight pressure on the trigger. Them I'll find the carrier.
I have feeler gauges and a micrometer so I can get the rod set up correctly too.

You don't need calipers. Adjust the trigger rod so that it almost touches the back of the trigger when the gun is gassed up. It shouldn't touch because that could prevent the sear from properly returning to catch the bolt and fully opening the on/off in the valve.
