    Lubricating RT Pro questions

those of you who read my RT Pro Angst thread know my new mag is still in it's break-in pains.

I finally had time to take it down and re-oil everything, and I was amazed. after DRENCHING the internal parts in oil before gassing it up last time, everything was DRY, as if there'd never been any oil in there at all... I guess all that hot air blew the oil away. (with my classic, everything would still look oiled, even after heavy use.

    two questions:

1: does the RT pro ever reach the point where you can just put some oil in the ASA at the start of the day, or will I be taking it down to the o-rings every time I play for oiling? (edit -- I'm not complaining, I'd just like to know what I'll be getting into)

2: is there a better lube for some of the more important parts? (like the on/off pin, power tube, etc...) something like shocker lube, that's a little thicker. I've been using KC trouble-free and gold cup forever on all my guns, but it doesn't seem to stick around well inside the RT Pro...

    thanks all...

I suppose this goes w/o saying, but be sure to use the N2 KC Trouble Free (purple stuff). I imagine the best stuff to use though would be Autolube (I think that's what it's called anyway). I know my Mag came with a small bottle of the stuff.

KC Trouble Free Blue is what BlackVCG recommends. I've been using it this year with great success. it's not petroleum based so it doesn't discolor and break down the O-rings like automag lube and the others.

All you should have to do is put 3-5 drops in your ASA before each day of play and that should work fine. That's all I've ever done and I haven't had any issues.
