    Is it possible?

If my dad could get a air compressor that filled up to 7000psi and mount it with gages and fittings(quick disconnect)could I fill my tank with that? what else do we need to complete a job like this?

You could fill your tank with that, but you would need some kind of regulater to get it down to either 3000 or 4500 psi.

Those big compressors are fully adjustable of their output. You do realize that these cost more than a few thousand dollars, right?

It would be a fairly simple matter to build a fill station that could easily handle any paintball tank. There was just that at the Las Vegas Pan Am, with 8-10 fill points

The problem with it is not that it can fill up to 7000psi, but that the tank can only hold 3000psi, 4500psi or 5000psi. This is a dangerous situation as you can over fill the tank quite quickly.

As for a HP reg - check paintball mania (nitro duck)

            $15000

to be exact... can your dad get me one too? My LPS (local paintball shop) has one. They use it to fill reserve tanks and the reserve tanks fill your tank cause its so slow.

So i guess it would be better to get a scuba and only be able to fill 3000psi? Where can I get a 4500psi scuba?

Dont use it if it is a shop compressor, they have oil in the air and are made for tools-

I dont think they make 4500psi scuba tanks, I think they only go to 3500psi.

What do you mean dub? Like i couldnt go get a tire compressor for like 200 that fills up to 3500? Which would be better- Scuba or Compressor.

A 3500 psi $200 compressor? Where did you find one of those? If one did exist it would probably wear itself out trying to fill a paintball tank; weeks later...

BTW, one of my paintball buddies is thinking of getting a compressor for willing paintball tanks. So far, it will take years to just pay for itself.

Scuba tanks have a wide variety of pressure ratings.... some are below 3000, some at 3000. I think the highest they go is 3500, but you should double check that... call a dive shop.
