    Let me get this right....

For those of us with an old 68 classic, upgrade possibilities are dismal unless you drop some fat cash on it. Let me elaborate-

ULT- 45$, but ONLY FOR X VALVE and modified retro, So forget about it 68 classic owners.
    X-Valve- 200$ for a cheap used one!
Emag/RT valve- 120-150, but the ULT wont work on them anyway.

I just got a used mag and the first thing I noticed was "Woah crap this trigger pull is insanely hard."

There is nothing I can do about it unless I kick down 250$. Im chapped.

trust me dude, ULT's rock on classics as long as you have enough shims and a L10. right now i have a L10 with the lightest spring and a butt load of shims in the ULT and it feels like an emag on hybrid. i literally almost shat myself when i set it up and fired. it has insane kick and i can actually walk it. the only problem is because i am using the lighter L10 spring i can chop, if i go up to the next sized spring, the trigger still feels nice but is much less stable and not walkable ( ie it chuffs fairly easily if you don't pull the trigger right) so if i don't care about chopping then i can put the light spring in and rock away. but if i don't want to be cleaning messes up then i can go up in a spring and just have to watch how i pull the trigger.

btw i WON"T be getting an Xvalve. as i see no need to drop ~$300 on it since this thing feels awsome right now.

      hm..

Very encouraging to hear that. Thanks. A few questions if you will. Isnt it true that when you hook up the ULT to a 68 classic valve, it doesnt recharge fast enough? Also, how many shims do you have? and if i need more than i have, where do i get more? Thanks.

        Ah Crap

I also just found out that Ive got a field rental gun. Yes. A field rental. This means that the level 10 will not work with the valve because of the power tip. rediculous. Can the ULT work with stock or any other aftermarket bolt?

Somewhere on here there is a video of Blackdog dry firing his classic with a ULT I'm not sure where it is but look under "ULT won't work in a Classic my A**" or something like that. As for your valve being a rental can you put up some pics so maybe some of the senior members can take a look and see for sure. And the ULT will work in the RT valves

not quite true, the emag valves have double o-rings and so do some RT valves, ergo they will work with the ULT.
so no you dont need an x-valve.

Classic Rental valves can't take the Level 10 without modification. A flow restrictor is in place to make sure the gun doesn't shoot overly hot. You'd need a qualified machinist to drill it out.

BlackDog? havent heard that one in a while

Heres a link to the thread mentioned above, it should answer any of your questions about installing the ULT on a calssic valve.

If you do have any questions though, dont hesitate to pop me a PM or email... I'd be glad to help.

Thanks a bunch. I think Ill go with your advice and just get a classic valve. Im handy with tools and all, but Im not THAT confident with my drill pressing abilities. Thanks.

The valve will have the word "Rental" laser engraved on the side.
