I have an Emag. I bought it from AGD directly. I am having trouble chopping paintballs in the breech area and down the barrel. I have a dye 14 ultralight barrel and its a 688 bore size. I have a reloader B but right now I am using the evolution II loader for now until I get a clamp rise feed for my ule body. When I rapid fire fast enough it chops paint. What could be the reason for it chopping paintballs? My level 10 is properly set up. Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop from chopping paintballs down the breech area? Thanks I posted this before.

if not is the barrel locked in right in the right position. there can be two positions?
better barrel
could be the paint, try better paint.
check detent.
make sure the velocity is not to high.
right spring.
right barrel for the paint size.
fast enough hopper for the gun, thats the most common problem. feeds to slow forhte firing rate.
can you stick you finger in the bolt and hold it back with ease, BE CAREFULL! make sure the level 10 is really working.
take it to a shop or some one who knows AGD guns well enough to see what it is doing.

I am using a medium spring on my level 10 I tried the red one but it dont even fire. any more sugguestions on why it chops paintballs? I am also using PMI preimium paintballs and that my loader has fresh brand new batteries.Comment

hes right, there are three spring sizes for three classes of velocity, low med. and high and springs to match. with out a chrono. it is a guessing game but poosible to get is right. we custom cut our springs per game depending on the velocity and chucke them after every 5 games.Originally posted by trevorjk

Everything on my Emag is stock right out of the factory. Yes I know its cocker barrel threads and no I am not cross threading it I know better than that. My ball detent is fine, and my paint to barrel match is good. Any more sugguestions? thanksComment

I am using the Medium spring I know its fine. I put my finger in it and it resets properly. I tried other main springs they dont work because of the tension of the spring. Any more sugguesstions thanksComment

My velocity setting is fine its around 275-285 fps I think the medium spring I have on it works just fine.Comment

does it chop in R/T?
does it chop when you shoot one shot at a time?
if no, it is a feeding problem and your problem is in the neck and hopper.Comment

it does chop in the breech area and when I rapid fire in manual and in electroni mode also. I have the stock ULE body on it with the stock feed that came with the body could that be it? Does the feed neck have to be a lil higher so that way it feeds the paint good?Comment

as for air efficent on the Emag how many rounds should I get with a 68/5000 and an 88cu 4500? when I shot my emag with the 68/5000 and when filled it to exactly 4500 I shot my emag wtih some paintballs and I only added about 1 hopper full of paint and it was down about 1000 psi should that be normal?Comment

if you can raise it up and try it to see if that fixes it, well that would tell you,hod it up with one hand and fire it. i like the power feeds so i cant help you there, the verts can push the balls in hard thats why i asked about hte detent and its adjustment. it may be off. try adding a collar to it and trying that, or a elbow type. like i said. if it doesnt break the balls in slow firing mode and one shot at a time, then it mroe than likely is the hopper or feed system. the feed system is key when you deal with fast shooting guns!Comment
