    Fred Schultz signature series...

    Hi!
I'm a french (so excuse my english...!) owner of a 68automag classic with an old air system :
A "fred schultz signature series, Air America Unireg Raptor".(3000psi)
It's working fine but the bottle is big and I want to change it, keeping my regulator.
    So my answer is :
is it possible to change it with another HPA bottle? (like a Pure Energy) :)

Shouldn't be a problem. All regs and tanks have standard threads (all that I have seen at least)

edit: Saw that this was your first post...welcome to AO, nice to see some other euros here :)

you can change it to any 3000psi bottle. OR you can send it in to Air America, and they can upgrade the reg to handle a 4500psi tank! proabably wont charge you for doing it either.

Ok. But I won't take the risk to send the reg' to the USA... Our postal service would be able to lose it!! Our service is not sure!

You CAN of course use a 4500 psi bottle, but you just have to be sure not to fill it over 3000 psi (200 bar, in the SI system, that you french people kindly invented, and that almost evereyone uses, except....hrmm....USA for example )

Good point, i dont trust mail around here either. look on the web for Air America europe, and see if they can fix up your reg to take 4500 psi. they are in th UK. if they cant help you, email me and i will see what I can do to help you.
