well i was gonna let my friend use my maxflo but it leaks out fill nipple , do maxflo's have a spring under the nipple? mine has a spring but it always sticks on that piston type thing in the nipple, i have tryed it with out the spring yet ... I had it filled and it leaked out of the nipple, i oiled it today , did it just need oil or what?

Fill nipples have a "one-way" piston in them. The force of filling them pushes the piston in and allow you to fill. The force of the newly filled air from the tank pushes the piston in the opposite direction, but because of how the piston is designed, blocks the air from leaving through the nipple.

    I don't recall any springs, just a piston w/ a screwdriver slot & an o-ring.

Some get dirty, while other get wedged in odd angles. You might be able to clean/repair them, or get a new one from a pro-shop for $7-ish.

i think it is the spring , i know how they work

I swaped nipps with my other tank and it did the same thing so i am thinking i have to remove the spring

Fill nipple assemblies only have the nipple, brass piston and piston o-ring. If your MF just started leaking replace the entire piston assy. or just the o-ring. (EDIT) clean and oil the fill nipple and brass piston too, there shouldn't be a spring.

aight i will take out the spring , i think thats why it wasnt holding a fill , becaue the spring was'nt letting the piston close
