    co2 leaking down barrel

I have a really oldschool 68 classic. I did everything that everyone told me to do previously (new powertip, the old one was shredded; new orings, etc.) and it leaks down the barrel...Not cool. I dont have a spacer in my powertube, i have the spring. When i hold down the trigger, the leak stops...so its probably a pt issue, but everything looks peachy clean. In current order i have : PT TIP-O RING- SPACER SPRING- ORING in the power tube, and the leak occurs. Should i put more oil in there?

I bet you put your on/off assembly on wrong. Or, you need to oil it more.

I think it may be your on/off assmbly being put together wrong. That would be the same problem i had.

if you hold down the trigger and the leak stops then it is NOT your on/off. you might just want to buy a spacer kit and relieve your valve of that crummy old spring. or just save up and switch to a L10.

Also, is the leaking starting the second you gas up or does it start after you have been shooting for a while. if it starts only after you have shot for a while then what is happening is that your co2 is freezing the power tube o-ring, just hold down the trigger to let the o-ring warm back up, shoot a couple of shots with the tank ASA pointing up and you should be good. but if the leak is even before you shoot the gun then try what i said at the top.
