Woe is me- On/Off problem

Today I recieved a used micromag from an ebay purchase. It looks great. Anyway, after removing the valve from the body, a small disk about 3 mm thick with a hole through the center fell out. Oops i thought, so I put it back in the on/off place, and it wont stay there. So I took everything out and Have tried everything to try and get the thing to stay in. The peices I have are not common mag parts. God I wish my digital camera were working. listed are the parts that came out of the on/off assembly.

1. A disk, metal, about 3 mm thick with a hole in the center where the pin goes through. It can go inside the on/off hole, but does not stay in.


2. The main body. Cylindrical in shape, with a hole for the pin through the center. The bottom of it is about 5-6 mm tall, then suddenly edges into a skinnier cylinder. this skinnier part is about another 6 mm tall, and has 4 holes all the way around the cylinder. This is what would typically be called the on/off top, but the top is incorporated into this larger cylinder. From this skinnier part is about a 1 mm flange on the top which is just as fat as the bottom part.....all fitting snuggly in the on/off hole. it all looks like:

Sounds like you have a aftermarket on/off like I've got in mine. Belive the one that came with my mag was a wizard valve and you have to get the orings compressed flat or the bottom metal disk your desribing won't sit flat and go back into the gun.
Way I have to install mine is put that disk on top of the orings without the on/off pin, and press down if it won't stay down try turning the smaller oring upside down to see if it will seat better and stay down. It can be a pain but once you can get it seated flat that disk will lay flat and go back in easy.

i looked up everything i could about a wizard valve to see if i could find a pic. it seems it has dropped off the face of the earth. I have no problem getting everything in. I just cant get it to stay in.

If you have the same on/off like mine its a pain if you don't know how to get the orings to seat right. Theres 2 sets(4 total) of orings that should be in there, 2 small white ones the pin seals then 2 larger that go on the outside of those smaller white orings. Look at the bottom set and they should be flat with the small white one in the center, the set that goes above that on/off top should be just as flat, if the small white one doesn't seat flat inside of the larger oring that metal disk won't sit down far enough for the valve to be put back in. All of this has to be done with the valve upside down, and when you re-install the valve into the gun you have to do it upside down also.
If this still doesn't help let me know and I'll try and get a few pics but it might be a day or 2 before I could get any pics up.

yes, you have described what my on/off assembly is. it has two sets of o-rings, and i did have to install the valve onto the body upside down lest the disk falls out.also if i remove the valve from the body, the disk falls right off, no effort. yes, please put pics up to confirm that we have the same setup :) thank you very much

I believe that's the old reactor on/off valve. waste of money and a pain in the butt.

do your self a favor and get a hold of Tunaman, or AGD and get a stock on/off.

those reactor ones are nothing but all pain and no gain.

been there tried that, tested that, worthless.

ah yes. i looked up "reactor valve" on google and found a pic of it. yep, thats what it is. now when i hook it up, it sputters when i dont have the trigger down. almost like a fully auto, but not as loud.

it's really a lazy design. it shows absolutely no gain in performance and is a pain to deal with because it is designed poorly.

see if tunaman has a stock one for you. he is an honorable and trustworthy person to get AGD products from. I would try him first.

got a new on/off. still have to tweak with the gun.

yep thats a reactor valve i purchased one a long time ago when they came out there a b!tch. what you have to do is make shure that the o ring sets in the vave are compressed there are two sets of them, one on the inner most part of the on/off then a cut valve with holes in (brass) then the second set after there compressed place the washer that you speal of in then the on off pin. with the gun up side down slide it in and thats it. the ***** is every time you remive the valve it well fall out unless you do it up side down
