Xvalve users in here! or Level 10 users

Hey whats up!? I currently purchased a 68ci 4500 maxflow tank with the dual stage regulator(03 model style with the dual stage) from Timid on this board. From what I am reading i guess the level 10 bolt stores in another 500-800psi into the bolt for some reason. Titansu and Zman suggest that i get a slide check for my gun to bleed the left over air since the max flow doesnt have a bleed valve. Are there any xvalve users with the level 10 that do not use the slide check? how do you deal with the issue of the level 10 storing an extra 500-800psi? i dont want to clean my gun after a hard days play and end up having my on/off pin shoot me in the neck or anything of that sort.

Gambit1106 uses a standard quick disconnect... I laugh as he flinches to pop it off.

Just dry fire to get rid of the air after you've disconnected the air. Problem with on/offs shooting out is theres still pressure stored but its not enough to fire the bolt but enough to shoot out the on/off pin. When you're pulling the valve out when you get it about a quarter of an inch out the back shake the gun and valve, this should release the bolt and remaining air stored in there should leak out of the powertube.

I still suggest you get a slide check or pro connect for Macroline whichever you choose. When I ran macroline I could shoot off most of the pressure but the last bit was always a pain to degass and after a while I would wear out my macroline and have to replace it.

I do the same, except with a proconnect. I even laugh at myself....

Actually, it's on a few... I think it was the default text when I got it flashed.

I was more concerned w/ getting the software than the text. If I did get to do my own text it would probably be:

                        remove hopper.
place a 1/8 allen key into one of the three holes in the bolt

If the hole is at the top of the bolt, pull up.

If it's near the side of the bottom, tilt it back.

This will move the bolt slightly breaking the seal of the level 10 carrier oring, venting the air out of the dump chamber.

May take a bit of "learning" to get it right, but it works like a charm.

what hole are u referring too? the only three holes i can think of are the 2 that are marked oil and the other holds the slide lock pin in.

I said the bolt. You need to remove the hopper so that you can slide the allen key into your feed neck to slip it inside the bolt.

It's not an easy procedure to explain, but very simple to do.

                              Quick disconnect works just fine

I use a quick disconnect fitting on both of my RTs with flatline tanks. It is easy...turn air off, fire until gun wont fire, and disconnect! There was too much air in lines to do with macro lines, but when i put my macro fitting on a quick disconnect, no problem (no flinching as long as you shoot rewsidual air out ).

                              Good luck!
