whqat spring are you using? i would use the largest carrier that dosent leak, middle spring, and then work your way in with the shimms untill you get it the way you like it.

cool then put on the red spring if its not there and see how it is without any carriers, if its good leave it that with otherwise work your way up with the carriers.

the shims are ti get the bolt to reset after it has stopped on a paintball. not enough shims and the bolt will just stop on the ball, and not reset properly. too many shims and it will leak.

I suggest you use as many shims as you can without it leaking.

but that doesn't realy have much to do with chopping.

              what is your fps?

I have a X valve with lvl 10 installed with the 2.5 carrier and longest spring and NO shims. This is the biggest carrier i cant put on before it starts to leak and anything smaller it leaks. I started with the reccomended 2 shims but that leaked so i took one out and it still leaked and i took all of em out and the gun shoots fine. Will the bolt still reset if i dont have any shims? im outa air so i cannot test it

                      Another problem

                      My setup
                      X valve with level 10
Red spring 2.5 carrier NO SHIMS, Max flo set at 850-875psi.

I tried testing my level 10 today so i rolled up a piece of paper and stuck it down the powerfeed. I pulled the trigger and chuff but i pulled the trigger again the the bolt just went right through it and bent the piece of paper. i stopped shooting for about 10 seconds put the paper down the powerfeed and it chuffed again but on the second try it just went through. I have the 2.5 carrier in and anything smaller it leaks anything bigger it leaks. I just bought the valve and 3 cases were put through it and probably about a tank of air. Thanks for any help

Oh yea i ran about 1000psi through the gun and i cant get the thing to sweetspot!! The trigger gets very bouncy and reactive but i cant just hold the trigger down and get it to go crazy. If i upped the velocity would that help?

EDIT: i fixed the sweetspotting issue by turning up the velocity i also stuck a pen down the breech and my finger and the level 10 works fine!
