Lots of Mag problems.......

I sent my mag out to Tuna a couple weeks ago. I today finally got a chance to use it but with problems. First problem is the ULT (I think). About every 20-30 shots the sear sticks and i have to de-gas and re-gas the marker. This is REALLY annoying and is happening like i said 20-30 shots. Second im not really sure if its a problem, but i was getting double shots every few pulls. Its not bounce or anything(it was happening down to about 600-700 psi), just getting 2 shots but that was causing me to chop even with the level 10. And my last problem is that the valve is leaking very slightly, I think its coming from that little hole on the side of the valve. It certainly isnt a giant leak,but enough to be annoying. Im thinking if Tunaman cant get it running nice no one can...Anyway heres my setup:

ULE body
Classic rail and sear
Intelliframe
15* asa and foregrip
Freak
68/4500 crossfire.

the 20-30 shots and no bolt reset sounds like too loose a field strip screw..... next time it stop shooting use your allen wrench to tighten the screw incrimentally until you hear that bolt reset....

the double shooting... dont let your tank shoot down to 500-700 psi... rt valved mags need ~800 going to the valve to work efficiently... too low pressure causes the regulator to not seat after the shot which may cause a double shot....

Thanks ill try tightening the field strip screw. As far as the double shooting, I had about 1300 psi left in my tank to test the mag. It was double shooting from 1300 all the way down. So it was getting the 850 preset from my crossfire just fine. Thanks for the help so far. Anyone else?

maybe it's a problem with the reg on your tank, maybe when your internal pressure in the tanks gets too low (around 1300psi u said), the reg on the tank cant deliver 800-850 (spring problem). Plug a reg with a pressure gauge on it so you can read the output pressure at the tank.

that could also explain why tuna did'nt see the problem, his tank being good....

Well, I really hope thats not why, the reg is brand new from crossfire, this being the 2nd time i used it. Thanks for the suggestion though, ill try another tank too. Thanks so far guys!

I test all markers off a scuba so I can't tell if its a tank problem from here. As for double shots, it can only be your detent. Screw it in some more. If you cant straighten it out just send it back and I'll have another look.
