I have two mags a classic from back in the day and a recently purchased rt ule custom, i have a logic vert frame and ult. I am in the market for a new tank and was wondering if the Air America (apoc/geddon) & smartpart types will out perform the preset screw ins, to what degree do they out perform, would i be better of just buying a high pressure preset? Will i get better consistensy out of the more expensive systems or is it a waste of cash? Ps. what is a good inout pressure to get most reactivity from the ult i was thinkin 800-850 psi.
What is the best air system??

adjustable are good for r-t mags because you can make them bounce more , by increasing the imput pressure.
Maxflows. dynaflows, flatlines and armogeden are good adjustable tanks
Crossfires are very nice preset tanks

Do you think i would get better consistency over the chrono with an adjustable? Is the only advantage of the (geddons, apocs) that they are adjustable? Or will better performance be seen? I know it is hard to tell, basically, if I am happy with the amount of bouce from my preset tank that I am currently shooting should i just stick with it? I am looking for as much consistency as possible.68 Classic CF59529

With an x valve, an adjustable tank is definitely needed to get the most performance out of it. I use a 68ci 4500psi maxflo. Theres a vid of Zman comparing presets to adjustables and there is no comparison. The preset just cant recharge fast enough when spitting paint which leads to inconsistent numbers and severe drop off. But with the adjustable, (for any adjustable for that matter) the max flo and dynaflow keep up very very well!!! If you are happy with the performance that your gun is at now then you should be fine, but adjustable tanks rock! hands down.

850-900 psi i get alot of sweetspotting. Again a preset can be a high output preset but it may not be able to recharge fast enough.

Flatlines are by far the best regulator ever made. Period.

Go either AGD Flatline 4500, Maxflo dual stage 4500, or Dynaflow 4500. You cant miss either way.
