    X-mag with level 7 bolt

I heard that if I installed a level 7 bolt on my x-mag and turned the eyes on that it would shoot faster and get better air effeciency then it would with the level 10 bolt. Is this true? Thanks in advance for any help.

I think I heard lvl 10 isn't very efficient. So if that were the case, the lvl 7 would be more beneficial in that aspect. But it is alot heavier, and supposedly that gives the gun more kick.

I do know the AO sig rules, I just want a free sig pic, that's all!

theres like a 10% drop off in efficency with the lvl 10 yes its something but its not that big a deal.

I've heard that the x-mag body won't accept the lvl 7 since it has a smaller inside diameter in the bolt area.

The level 7 bolt is smaller in diameter than the level 10 bolt. It will function quite nicely in the X-mag with the eyes turned on. One thing to note, however, is the increase in blowback due to the increase in bolt speed (the bolt goes both forward and back faster) and the smaller bolt diameter. You'll need a good hopper that will maintain pressure on the ball stack. A Halo will fit the bill rather nicely.

You probably won't notice any difference operationally. The cycle rate increases from about 20bps to about 26bps if the software is capable.

Well it looks like I'm just going to have to stick a level 7 bolt on my X-mag and give it whirl. I'll let you know my findings after I do it.

I never heard that. The level 7 bolt is smaller that the level 10 bolt. I couldn't imagine it having a problem, but definately worth checking out before using one.
