Questions about AA Raptor "Rex" and Cradles

I'm looking into buying an adjustable hpa tank so I can get my RT Custom to bounce. I'm aware I might also have to purchase a stock .750 on/off in order to get reactivity, but I already get a little bounce with my preset tank and ult w/ 5 shims. Anyhoo, I came across the Air America Raptor Rex tank and it was only $189. Yea that's what caught my eye. A 4500psi adjustable for $189. Now the questions:

    1) How good is this tank compared to other AA's (Apoc, geddon)? How is the consistancy and recharge?
    2) What's the difference between the "Rex" and regular Raptor model?
    3) It's adjustable from 0-1000psi. Has anyone gotten good reactivity with this?
    4) How much would I expect to pay for a used "Rex"?

Here's the cradle part. I also noticed that while the Raptor is cheap, it requires a cradle instead of a rail. Now I'm a rail/uni type player. So naturally I'm trying to find some compact/small cradles. Anyone know of any out there that will position the tank about the same as a unimount or rail? I already found the KAPP stubby dropzone, but does anyone know of anything else?

    Thanks,
    Pete

Cp makes a nice cradle for it, and pbgear has a several on close out,. the cp one mounts on a dove tail rail.

The Raptor Rex is a 4500 psi tank and reg while the Raptor is a 3000 psi system.
Check with AA about a mount. My raptor has a mount with a small drop that I think came with it. (I bought it used)

Ok thanks. Now I still have questions 1, 3, and 4.
In your opinion how does the Raptor Rex perform? Does it recharge fast enough for high rates of fire? Is it consistant? How does it compare to other adjustable 4500psi tanks? Does it have a high enough flow rate to give decent reactivity on an x-valved marker? And finally, how much should I expect to pay for a used Raptor Rex in good condition?
        Thanks again,
        Pete

EDIT: I also read some reviews on pbreview. I know that's not exactly the best place for the "truth", but there are some points it brings up. The tank has no output gauge. Ouch, how can I test what pressure I'm feeding into the marker? They also suggest using a tourney lock from a 'mag so you go back to the same pressure when turning the tank back on. Any comments on this?

correct, there is no output gauge, some people have used an 1/8th inch npt "T" inline and added a gauge there. OR you can use a 1/8th npt female/ffemale adaptor, and build a gauge sorta thingie, and use a mag tourney lock to make the pressure setting repeatable, and MANY people use a slide check or on/off (cobra sells a nice one as does palmers) as you dont have an on/off on it. A word of Caution, if you use the adjuster to lower the pressure to zero, you MUST shoot down the air as you slowly adjust it out. I.E. turn 1 1/2 times, then shoot gun 3-4 times, repaeat as necessary. The reason is, that if you dont, you can nick the piston o-ring and make a leak, as excess pressure pushes the o-ring into the bleed off hole and as you turn it back, it gets a nick in it.

          Performance.
Great actually! used one on a first gen RT for 2 years, it will not cause shootdown unless it is malfunctioning, and you can get it up to the crazy reaction pressures you need/want. And if it has a problem, just send it in to AA and it is under the lifetime warranty, no matter how old it is!
and as someone said above, the raptor was a 300psi reg, and the raptor rex is a 4500psi version. older raptor can be upgraded to rexs by AA. They can be bought very cheaply used, but are still an excellant system.

Thanks! Where can I get one of these "t" fittings? Again, thanks for all the help. I think I'm ready to make an informed purchase now.

EDIT: Nm, palmers sells both an inline 1/8" on/off and a "t" fitting. Sweet.
