im not sure what the difference is between the "retro" valve and the "x-valve" is. is their any difference and what is the better buy. hope im not asking a really dumb question.

The X-valve is an all aluminum version of the Retro valve. Only the back half of the Retro is aluminum. The only other difference is that the Retro has a slightly different on/off assembly, which neccessitates having the valve modified by a machinist if you want to install the Ultra Light Trigger kit (ULT). The X-valve accepts it with no modification. -

x valve is the better of the two. its lighter and also takes the ULT kit without any milling. also, if you buy the x valve through AGD or some other sellers, the lvl 10 is included. this is not so with rt valveComment
