AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
im not sure what the difference is between the "retro" valve and the "x-valve" is. is their any difference and what is the better buy. hope im not asking a really dumb question.
The X-valve is an all aluminum version of the Retro valve. Only the back half of the Retro is aluminum. The only other difference is that the Retro has a slightly different on/off assembly, which neccessitates having the valve modified by a machinist if you want to install the Ultra Light Trigger kit (ULT). The X-valve accepts it with no modification.

that is not 100% accurate. the retro valve was all stainless. none of it was aluminum. also not all the retro valves had the single oring on-off.
so what is the better of the 2 in general? and i am also looking into buying a hyperframe and a level 10..... what is the better one of the two for that package? thanks again for all your help.
x valve is the better of the two. its lighter and also takes the ULT kit without any milling. also, if you buy the x valve through AGD or some other sellers, the lvl 10 is included. this is not so with rt valve
