ReTroValve Problem

Ok, here's the deal..

I just bought a RetroValve from a kid i trust online. Dealt with him before, etc.

When i went to gas it up, all that happened was it leaked down the barrel. Tried it a few times, same thing. The trigger rod never engaged.

Anyone have any ideas? Im using a classic mag with a Benchy 2x frame...no other mods.

Don't know if it will work or not but try different power tube spacers. you may have the tube too long and it is not able to charge.

I am not sure if it will fix it or not but that would be my first idea. If that dosn't work call AGD.

Im having the same problem, with my retro micromag rt, you gas it up and air spews from the bolt and bolt moves back and forth... I think it has somthing to do with your air setup...

Umm... you are using.. nitrogen right?

hopfully your using nitrogen. Now, make sure all the o-rings are ok... i think that's it unless there are parts missing in the valve..

same thing happened when i bought and installed mine. trigger rod would not engage so i turned the velocity up and then changed the spacer to a .225. after that it gassed right up, no leaks down the barrel.

You're just getting boltstick. Same thing happened to me first time I installed my retro. Just take the barrel off and push the bolt back with your finger until the sear engages after it's gassed up and that should be the end of your problems. (or, if you're finicky about that kind of thing, use a straight shot squeegee)

Don't stick your finger near the bolt! Just take an allen wrench or a wooden dowel and push back on the bolt when you gas it up. This is something that is inherent in all RT valves. You need to get it a quick burst of air in order to get it to seal up, or hold back the bolt with something other than your finger. Try screwing in your tank a bit faster right when it comes to the point of gassing up, or get an on/off valve you can turn on rather quick. Pro-connects work well also.

Even before i tried the dowel thing, It decided to work. All i needed to do was re-assemble my mag one more time. Weird. I DID turn my on/off a bit quicker...maybe that had something to do with it as well.
