    E-Mag Agg...Board isn't getting power???

    I am having major aggrivation!

I switched out everything from Emag frame to Emag frame. In the process, the hall sensor wires broke off right at the sensor. I got a new hall sensor switch from AGD and installed it
and nothing....no power. I have looked at the video and the blown up schematics. I cant't find anything wrong. I checked the battery. It is idiot-proof. Shouldn't the board light up as long as the red wire is hooked up and the board is screwed in (grounded)??

I don't have a voltage tester or anything like that, but if you can give me some ideas to check...I could probably go to Radio Shack or someplace and have them test it.

Please let me know anything that you think would help.

    Thanks

Check that the grounding nut is installed properly.

You might try backing the trigger magnet out, away from the Hall sensor.
If it's too close that might affect the boot process.

Mindjob- Is there a wrong way for the ground screw?

Deadeye- The switch is in Manual and the magnet is as far as it can be away from hall sensor.

        Thanks.

I had a very similar situation and it was BlackVCG to the rescue. Here are his suggestions. The solution for me was the anno issue. Hope this helps. If it does Black gets all the credit. Good luck.

"The problem could be that the screw that holds the board down to the frame is not fully tightened or the threads are not creating a ground because of too much anodizing on them.

If this is the case, grind off the anodizing (with a small wire brush on a dremel) on the flat spot of the post that the board hold-down screws threads into and this should create a good ground.

The other problem could be one of the insulators is missing on the power lead screw, where it mounts at the front of the frame. Also, the nut might not be tight.
          "

              Both spacers are in.

I'll go do a grind job...

                now I'm getting somewhere...

OK... I ground off the anno on the screw female end. I now get a flash on the first three readouts and then nothing. When I push the top button on back of grip repeatedly, it flashes gobbly-goop until I get to TRG. It says that perfectly fine.

                Now what???

                  Hall sensor is the culprit

I have been banging my head on my desk...and came to a logical conclusion. I unplugged the hall sensor and the board worked perfectly!

I checked the new hall sensor wires and compared them to the old one. Guess what!!
They are wired different! Old one - From top down: black, yellow, red
                  New one - " " " : yellow, black, red

                  Why are the wires different???

Is this a mistake from AGD????

I know I can carefully pull the wires out of the white harness and put them in whatever order...But what is the order???

                  Thanks.

either re bend the HES so its facing the other way or reverse your trigger magnet.
