OK - I know that typically the lawn sprinkler problem is related to an on/off oring - but this is NOT the case in this instance. This evening my brother-in-law and I sat down to install his ULT kit. Upon airing it up I noticed a lawn sprinker leak when the trigger is help back. I thought it was the ULT on/off - so switched back to the regular RT on/off. (He has an Xvalve) Same issue. Tried my ULT on/off - same issue. Put my valve in the gun - NO PROBLEM. OK - so we put his vlave back together with the original on/off (for the second time) and still got the lawn sprinker going on.
Tried:
- loosing the field strip screw
- Tightening the FS screw
- Checked for the FS screw spacer that connects the rail to the frame - present
- Took all shims out of LX (it had the standard 2)
- Put up to 6 shims in LX (one at a time)
- Made sure the front frame screw was tight - it was
EVERYTHING we tried had no impact on the lawn sprinkler thing. We tried the LX shim stuff with both the RT on/off and the ULT.
Anyone have any suggestions - I can almost bet that this issue is unrelated to the on/off - but it sure is something that isn't respnding to anything else.
