i got a regular automag powerfeed that i just had powdercoated. nothing inside the gun got touched by the powder but for some reason when i air up the gun the sear doesnt even come into contact with the pin on the valve. at first i thought that the sear had gotten messed around with but i didnt have it coated or anything, and when i put my bro's trigger frame mount on it (which i know works because his gun works fine) i had the same problem, and when i put my trigger frame mount on his gun it worked fine. i need help bigtime

if the coating is too thick, it will increase the distance between the body and the rail, therefore increasing the distance between the sear(which is in the rail) and the on/off whichis contained in the body, but that must be really thick powder coating because I got mine powder coated with no problems?68 Classic CF59529

Yeah, like govnamac said.
When you powdercoat a mag, you arent supposed to coat the part where the rail and the body come together. The powdercoating is too thick and causes problems like you have. Try sanding it off.Comment
