    Broken middle springs?

    Hey,

So I have had a number of mags over the years, and in just like the last 6 months I have managed to break 2 of the middle sized springs for the LX. I have no idea how this is happening. I'll break the marker apart to clean it and oooh looky there a busted mainspring. They were the original cut springs and not the new color coded ones. Has anybody out there had similar problems. I did do a search and couldn't find anything. Could there be something wacky going on with my marker? It works fine other than just recently busting the springs. I don't like the big spring, and the small spring works OK but the middle was perfect. Any help would be swell.

    Thanks,

    Marlin

cut your long spring and see if that breaks too... might be a marker issue (unlikely) and that would give a better read on the issue..

The cut springs have been known to break.

The reason it's happening is because the spring is cut, and doesn't have the same whole edge that a normal spring would.

The cut spring has been replaced with a new red spring that isn't cut off a larger one. It was always intended to use this spring, but due to a short supply they were not available when the level 10 was released.

I have always reccomended people using the cut spring to buy the new middle spring.
