    pred II in emag

    Hi,
I just received my Predator 2 board, and am planning to install it in my emag. I was wondering who else had done this and how they accomplished it. Did you use a 9v battery or do you still need the massive AGD battery pack? Also did you convert to a microswitch, optical sensor, or stick with the hall effect sensor? Any thing else of interest?
    Thanks

The large battery pack is still needed to provide the proper current to power the emag solenoid.

The hes switch on the emag is an electronic switch. I believe it will work on the board.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Blackvcd on here installs them for a small fee.
And get some break beam eyes installed, pretty pointless in changing boards if you dont...

      quikkk and i win.

Keep us posted about this. Im actually considering doing this myself.

Unless you have an ACE already, break beam would be the way to go.

The hall effect switch is still better IMO than a microswitch. Unless you really have something against it, I dont think there is a point to going through all of the trouble of mounting switch in there.

I have nothing against the HES except mine has been donated to a friend. Since I do not have a switch I was just wondering what some other people have done. I like the microswitches since they are cheap...I don't know what the HES costs....although it would surely be easier to use vs. a microswitch.
Eyes.eyes.eyes....I have been debating this....they really are not necessary w/ LVX bolt...so I'am not sure. I have a ule body, and unless some has a better idea (which would be great)...the only solution is to bond them in right? That is what is done on devilmags I believe. This method is just not "clean" enough for me. Does anyone know of emag bodies that accept breakbeam eyes w/ covers? I don't know...I'm torn.

I have decided to go with a 25gram microswitch...now to install it...may be doing a new trigger also.
            Still torn on eyes.

actually eye covers are used in most cases. So they are as clean as any other marker that has to cover them. and no SS bodies cant be used without adding material to them. wall is too thin
