Pump mags - how do they work?

What does the pump kit do to change a mag from semi to pump? How does it stop the mag from being semi? Also, is it easy to just slap it on and off? Or do you have to tune the marker every time you install or uninstall it? I just thought it might be cool to be able to slap a pump kit on when I feel like saving money or something lol. Of course I know I'd have to get my rail and body milled but that would cost what, $20-30 to have some channels cut out?
    Thanks,
    Pete

don't expect good shot counts on a 12 gram

Where so I start? How about the rubber bumper behind the bolt is repalced by a wave spring. The wave spring prevents the bolt from resetting fully, and keeping the on/off off. The pump handle basically pushes the bolt back that last little bit to reset on the sear and open the on/off. Pumps handle tension is the lightest I have ever seen. You could flick it with your finger and it will cock. Basically all you would need to do it remove the field strip screw, swap the wave spring for the rubber bumper and you're back to semi. There's no need to remove the pump handle.

Oh cool. That's great. Oh and I'd still be using an hpa tank. I have an x-valve so 12g outa the question. But are my milling prices right? If I'm not mistaken, tunaman would be the guy to go to about that right? Thanks.

Oh, ok. I was under the impression that Tunaman was the one who had all that stuff that isn't made anymore locked up in a vault somewhere. Like cnc batt packs and stuff lol. So Brad has pump kits? Ok, I'll ask him what his pricing would be.

Eeehhh, anywhere else to go for pump kits? My mom's identity got stolen throught ebay and I'm not allowed to use it anymore. Other than the classifieds on here, is there anyone who is known to have some?

You might try www.MCarterBrown.com first and then maybe www.stockclasspaintball.com I'm sure there are some others but I don't know them.
