xmag noob questions

yay! my "new" (used actually) xmag is here! unfortunately, i don't have any air right now to test it out and i won't be able to until the next time im at a game (which prob won't be till january...)

anyways, in the meantime, i want to make sure everything is in perfect working condition... well.. everything that can be determined without air at least...

ok i have 3.2 software. i assume that the Trigger off/on display is purely for testing and trigger tuning, correct? also, when i pull the trigger, nothing is supposed to happen without air rite? i mean, the plunger solenoid thing isn't supposed to do anything rite?

second, in the online manual at airgun.com, it mentions that there's a timer function. how do i get this working?

also, in the online manual, it mentions that the valve needs to be rotated to take it out... well this didn't happen.. i unscrewed the field strip screw, and the valve just slid out.... this isn't a problem is it?

also, is it possible to buy a power adapter to replace the car battery connector so i can charge the battery at home?

-when you have it set on the trigger test mode, the sear will not activate. however if you take it off of the test mode, and have the safety on, you should be able to hear the solenoid click the sear against the safety.

-the timer fuction was removed when 3.2 software came out.

-on xmag bodies, the valve doesnt need to be twisted to take it out.

-yes, you can buy a wall adapter at Radio shack that will work for the emag charger. just make sure you can get the proper output and tip on it, the variable voltage wall adapters will have what you need.

is it normal that the solenoid doesn't reset? i'm assuming the reactive action of the x-valve would reset it, correct?

Put your safety on. You'll then hear the solenoid reset after every shot.

solenoid usually doesnt reset if there is no air in the marker/saftey is not on

If you put the saftey on the noid will move up and down , and (clicks)

heh, the total shots counter has gone up by around 500 since this morning.. hahah

does anybody know what happens when it reaches 9999?

it resets , When I first got my emag , I put over 2k shots on it after 10min in my hands

Also If you drain you batt all the way the ts counter will reset to 0

You want the 12v 1500 mah power supply from radioshack with the positive tip. It costs like $20

one more thing. I noticed that when i set the shot buffer really low (like less than 40) the shot counter seems to jump by 3-7 shots... is that normal?
