Help!! Question about with devil mag.

    Hello.
I bought a hyperframe and a predator board and rigged everything up on my mag. I was basically building a devil mag without haveing to pay 800 bucks so far I'm only 200 bucks into it. Problem is the predator board doesnt have enough "UMPH" to even press in the solinoid all the way. If I hand press the noid in the marker will cycle and press the solinoid back out. Does anyone know if there is a capacitor soldered onto the devil mag's predator board to give it that punch it needs?? And if there is, where in the hell do I solder it on the board?! Thanks guys! are you using the normal on/off or the ULT on/off?

Im using the one that came with the hyperframe. If I use my spyder T board the marker will work, but the predator board doesnt have enough push. Would a ULT on/off fix it so I can use the pred board? Maybe the reduce in resistance would work. Otherwise I'll have to buy another spyder tboard for this gun and sell off the predator board.

A ULT is required for a devil mag I believe, I don't know what on/off you are using but I would switch it. Besides if it still doesn't work sell the ULT for $30 and you are only out $15 or so.

the predator board should have the thump necessary to do the job. try checking the dwell - if the solenoid's not on long enough then it won't get the force necessary to trip the sear.

Well I would be out a little more then that.. If the ult doesnt work I can keep that and still have to buy a spyder t board and sell the predator board. Ohh well. I'll try out the ULT on/off and see if it works. As for the predator board, I slammed the dwell all the way up to 20 and it still would not trip the solinoid on the hyperframe. So much for "can jump start your bling bling size assualt vechicle if the wires where big enough." EBZ

Your mag is better than any bling bling size assault vehicle. And more powerful.

HAHHA Yeah I would say that also!! Well I just ordered the ULT trigger kit. I also got one for my Xmag. I know I don't have one in that either. If this doesn't work for my Devilmag wannabe I'll buy a Tboard from damon at Scenariodreams.com Thanks for all your help and advice guys! Later, EBZ

The ult will actually slow the rate of fire in the X-mag. The stock on/off has more return force.

do you have a DVOM(multimeter)? if you do, you can check to see what kind of voltage & amperage the solenoid is getting from the two boards.

Definately extra lube. I keep two bottles at all times. Can't leave home w/o your lubricant.

Adding the ULT will drastically reduce the amount of pressure put on the solenoid, allowing for longer battery life and longer noid life. Get a ult and no matter what board you use you will enjoy the benefits.

As for the stock on/off yes the ult reduces the max ROF but not by a whole lot and you would need so much juice to actuate the on/off you would need the beefy emag noid and the large battery that goes with it.
This is my experience through my many attempts to electrify various guns including my electro Sheridan rifle project, which suffered from the problems I described above, it could be done but not the way I wanted.

Thanks. Yeah I ordered the ULT and I ordered 2 of them. And I also read about the ULT.. not recommended for emags or xmags because the return force does not help as much and reduces ROF. I'll keep it though so when I wanna use manual on my xmag only I'll just swap out on/offs after I know my desired tunning for the ULT. If not I can always sell it. As for the micro "devilmag" I got a post on PBnation also, one of the guys at either devils lair or TAG posted and said. YES, a capacitor is needed for the extra "UMPH" I need. One reason TAG no longer sells the boards to people for self install is because of these various problems. What was suggested was a ULT and a capacitor soldered on. Where soldered on is the question. Someone else suggested in parrallel with the battery. Dont know aout that though. Once I get the ULT and have it tunned up I can test to see if I still need a cap soldered on. If all else fails I'm just gonna buy a Spyder T board from scenario dreams and wire that up. Piss... But that board has enough punch to slam open the solinoid even if I use the stock On/off for the x-valve. Only thing is... the one I have I need for my spyder. Thanks guys. Later EBZ

did you ever figure this out? perhaps the electrician can help you out, I know he has made his own electro mag w/ the predator II
