This might be a stupid question, but I don't know that much about mags. Is it possible to switch the internals of an x-valve with the internals of a normal valve. The reason I ask is I got my hands on an x-valve, but it has level 7 on it(i don't know why). I was wondering if they just put the level 7 on and left it alone, or if they did that and could have possibly swapped the internals of the valve, thus making it not an x-valve any more. Please help. Thanks. By the way, it looks like an x-valve on the outside(black with a single, big X on one side).
X-Valve internals swap?

the only thing that would be change would be the bolt and parts inside the power tube most likely. that is very odd that the lvl7 would be put on an xvalve though.President Of the UW-Madison Badger Ballers

The only way it should have lvl 7 on it is if it's used. If the powertube tip has hex wrench flats, then it's lvlX. If it has a slot you can put a nickel in, it's lvl 7.Origninally posted by warbeak2099
Definately extra lube. I keep two bottles at all times. Can't leave home w/o your lubricant.

take out your valve and pull out the on/off assembaly if it looks like this http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fu...&categoryID=23
then your fine and dont need to worry.

I don't think it's the same one, it looks just like it except for the end of it. It doesn't have the little o-ring on the end, it's just flat. But, I looked at the classic valve on/off assembly, and it doesn't look like that one, so I guess it is the right one.Last edited by codeman35; 11-22-2004, 11:05 AM.
