I just bought some silicone oil

Hey i went into my local hobbyshop and bought some 40weight AE shock oil thats 100% silicone for 3$. I figured that if i couldnt find any KC Oil this would come next. So what do you guys think? there was either 20weight, 40 or 60 weight. Do you think i should be fine with the stuff i bought?

All I use is 25wt pure silicone shock oil. I couldn't be happier. I have had no problems whatsoever.

Silicone oil is great stuff. Very slippery. The thinner the better for pneumatic paintball guns.

Excuse my ignorance but the thinner the oil the lower the weight? So since i bought 40 weight i should drop down to 25weight which is thinner?

Probably. It's not rocket science. I only bought 25wt because it's what they had.

I've been doing this for a couple years now.

I would go with 20wt. Anything much higher than that is too thick for pneumatics.

              I personally use 10wt.
