    80 cf 3000psi scuba tank

Does anyone use one to fill their tanks. If so how many shots do you get before having to get it refilled? I have seen graphs showing over 17,000 rounds but i find it hard to believe because their first fill on a 47/3000 they said they shot 1000 rounds. Then i read somewhere else that you get 10 rounds per cubic inch with a 3000psi tank. Any light on this will be much appreciated.

After the first fill, it drops off about 100 pounds a fill. It was suggested to me that I get 2 tanks, get the best fill I could get off of the first tank, and then "top it off" with the second tank. Here locally an 80 cf 3000 psi scuba tank is only about $139.00, so it's a pretty good value IMO. I dislike being at the mercy of only having what air is in my 2 crossfire tanks.

I payed $130 for mine, and I figure it's paid for it's self several times over. I pay $4 to fill it and get 10 good fills out of it. My local paintball shop charges $3.50 to fill my crossfire, what a rip off! Now the group of guys I play with have come up with 2 other tanks and would like to cascade them. Any one know how to do that?

I've heard if you have more than 1 tank lets say 3 tanks. Tank-1 has 3000psi (a full fill) tank-2 has 2500psi and tank-3 has 2000psi, what you do to fill your paintball tank is to use tank-3 first, then use tank-2 then tank-1. That way you are not taking a lot of psi out of tank-1 all at once. Then when tank-3 gets real low you fill it to 3000psi and call it tank-1, tank-1 becomes tank-2, and tank-2 becomes tank-3. What i'm asking is that if i have 1 scuba tank with 3000psi how many tank fills, and what is the psi of the last fill. You said 10 fills what is the size of your tank? What was the psi of your last fill?

my family dives alot anyway, so ive got about 8 tanks of various sizes. yea, after the first couple fills the pressure drops per fill. once the pressure gets around 1500 or even 2000 its not good for much other than filling to test seals and working on your gun, but you can get a lot of low pressure fills out of it. its worth the $ especialy if you already have tanks around.

(edit) get some scuba mags, go to a store , or find scuba sites, you should come across all the equipment you need like manifolds and equilizers.

Yeah, scubas will drop off very quickly. I own one, and when we go out to play, I rent 2 more. Expect to get about 2k fills consistantly out of them. We play alotof outlaw, so $4 to fill my scuba and the $10x that I get charged is well worth it, considering Staten Island PB charges $6-$10 depending on their mood to fill my 88/4500.

Oh, FYI, me and three other guys play comfrtably on 3 tanks. So figure one per person per day.

              Hope this info was helpful.

alot of people that i play with in kenosha have a scuba so we all just put them in a line in order to do fills, when the first one in the line drops by 200-300, we start hitting the next one and so on. we get a lil extra boost cause my scuba is one of teh 120cf 3500psi steel tanks.( i got a crazy deal on it, $100 including the fill station, should be $300 for tank alone)
from approximately 6 scubas, we've been able to supply air for approx 25-30 people for a whole day.
