    Gas thru grip lengths

Anyone out there know the length of the CP mini gas thru or the shocktech gas thru grips? Looking for useable length (the bit that you can actually use when it's screwed in). I have a nice, new shiney 15* ASA and wondering which would be a better fit on the ol' mag. I'm running with a kapp dropzone, so if it's too long, the grip might actually touch the darn thing....don't want that. uh.....help?
