I just got my new (to me) RT, and gassed it up; there seems to be a slow leak coming out from around the body. Then, occasionally, there will be a loud leak from the back.

ok, a leak from the back (regulator) means your velocity is too high and you are venting the excess air.
for you other leak-
squeeze and hold the trigger. does it still leak? if yes, it is an o-ring in you on/off assembly. if it stops leaking, it is an o-ring in your powertube.
you should call AGD tomorrow and register your gun. you get an instructional video that tells you everything.
