    Short Stroking an emag?

So, I was helping a buddy out with his E-mag and it's shooting REAL weird........ If you are just laying down single shots or slowly shooting the trigger, it's fine.. The minute you rail on the trigger, it's almost like it short-strokes it (while in E-Mode)..... It gets like a half shot, sounds sorta like either the bolt sticks or the LX is kicking in - it sounds almost like a hiccup - and the shot drops out of the barrel... Any ideas?

Could have recharge problems too. Make sure if he has an adjustable tank that it's inputting at least above 700psi.

if he's using a screw in with a on/off asa, make sure the on/off isnt screwed in too far. on pin valve tanks, if the pin is pushed in too far, the tank will actually start sealing up again, leading to drop off, etc.

It does sound like a recharge problem. Try raising the input pressure on the tank. If you just have the E-Mag tuned, then the Flatline might have a problem.

Not to hijack this thread, but my E-mag does the same thing in E mode. When I put the battery pin back in it will shoot just fine in Mechanical. It isn't as severe as what rkjunior303 was saying, but anything beyond the 10 BPS range makes it chuff like the level 10 is kicking in, yet it doesn't do this in mechanical. I also have 4.0 software.

Sounds like your trigger is out of adjustment. Try turning the set screw in the center of the trigger so that the magnet is farther away from the HES (Sensor). If you set the trigger too close, odd things can happen.

I will try that but that was one of the things AGD did to the mag when they had it there for him. They readjusted the trigger for more reliable firing. I"m going to try adjusting the trigger a bit then also hooking up my preset to it.. See if one of those clears it up.

                      I'll keep everyone updated :)

it's not the detent.. it's a micro-mag body with the spring detent.

Could also be the bolt sticking...

Add oil, and maybe go up one size on hte carrier
