My son ordered an Automag with a X valve and LX from someone on these boards. I hooked it up today and made some adjustments to get it to fire but paint just drops down and rolls out the barrel. I know nothing about markers and I did a quick search with no luck on solving this. Before I do a more detailed search I figured I would post here for help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

low velocity may be a problem. try turning the back of the valve in and see if that helps. (1/8" allen hole in back of valve) also may not have enough air in tank to fire marker.
other than that, i can only think it would be lvl 10 problem, for help with that id go to www.airgun.com and find the tech section with lvl10 instructions.President Of the UW-Madison Badger Ballers

After reading my orginal post I figured I should post again with some clarification. The gun seems to shoot fine if you drop one ball in and pull the trigger. The problem is the paint won't stay in the marker. If you fill the hopper it just rolls out the barrel.Comment

Hi there,
what kind of Body and barrel you have??
If you have a Twist look Barrel check for the Plastic/Wire Nubbins at the Barrels end where the hole is. If you have a Threaded Mainbody means (Autococker Thread) you have to screw the Barrel in, check for the Ball detend.
All things i would check....

ball detent problem then
detent is the thing that sticks out on the right side of the body(mot likely black) it should have a ball inside which holds the paint from rolling foreword.
if it doesnt have a ule body, but has twist lock barrels instead, then there are nubins that are supposed to be on the barrel. these can also be found at www.airgun.com at the online store.President Of the UW-Madison Badger Ballers
