It might. I would seek out some pure silicone oil. From a hobby shop. It's my favorite. I used to use ATF with good results too.

I was going to post a new thread about militec, but I'll just put it here. I was wondering if it would work, but then noticed that it's a metal conditioner, not necessarily lube. Going to WalMart to get some Gold Cup.

Militec is also a lube. It SHOULD work fine. I would be more concerned using Hoppes #9 then Militec. Hoppes is a powder solvent not actually a lube. They use bananna oil in it which provides a lubricating effect and gives it it's signature odor. A simple oil would work a lot better. I have always noticed paintball oils are thin compared to a lot of other oils. If I were to go with a pure silicone oil I would look for a 0 or 5 weight oil. Hobby shops do sell it because it is used in R/C shocks.

I personally use shooters choice to clean my firearms, hoppes doesn't attack plastic wad residue as much. I use Militec on my knives and to treat the bores of my firearms. Hoppes silicon oil for a lubricant.

hoppes makes a light machine oil. It would be ok probably. I like sillicone shock oil because you know it doesn't hurt plastic/rubber. I use 20wt.

used it on my spyder for 7 years and im still on the original bolt orings without any wear and still look perfect. I also used it on my mag for 2 years and worked like a champ, i just currently switched to silicone oil.
