    Doc's Barrel Converter

I was just wondering if anybody has ever had any problems with the barrel converter? Is it possible for the bolt to hit the back of the converter if it's not lined up right? Thanks.

If it's not lined up right, sure the bolt could hit it. What is causing it to not line up?

Oh, I don't know if it's not lined up, I was just wondering. My gun is in the shop being built, so i'm nervous and a little paranoid that something is going to go wrong.

Ok, I just got my gun back and now I see what you mean by "a bit of a wobble". It's not that bad and doesn't effect the function.

and the twist-lock mag barrels always wobble a bit anyway in my experience. can't blame doc for something that's built into the system...

A little trick I used to take out that wobble was to put a single strip of clear tape around the convertor and then put it in. In fact it was so snug, I had to screw it on a barrel and then use the barrel to slowly work it back in to position. There is NO play what so ever in it now.

I had some trouble fitting mine due to some foreign matter in my rt's body. No problems with the adapter itself. Mine is very tight. I feel it is worth while piece if you want to keep the classic look and want to up-grade to screw in barrels.

Good thing to know, Severe. I'll have to remember that tape fix when I start rebuilding the wife's Mag.
