    how does on/off work?

i've tried to find this information elsewhere, but have been unable to find a really good explaination. when using a drop forward with an on/off with co2, what does the on/off do, exactly?

specifically what i want to know is, if i turn the knob to off, does that mean that when i unscrew the tank, no c02 will come out? or does it just keep the co2 from going into the gun?

    thanks for any input.

my on/offs on my drops have always relieved gas from the gun and lines/hoses. The tank pin is returned to its normal position and you unscrew the tank.

Thats all it does. allows you to degas the gun and lines w/o having to unscrew the tank and let it vent out.

the on off on a drop forward is to keep the gass from flowing into the gun. BUT when you turn it off there is still gass in the gun and you will have to shoot a few times to get the presure out. then you can remove your tank with no gass leaking from the tank
