I need some help guys and gals...
This is what I had:
68 Hopper Left Classic Automag, Fomieless bolt, 9V Revvy, Parabolic feed plug, 12 inch dye ultralight, intelli not hooked into hopper, 68/4500 Pure Energy...
I played a few weeks ago at PBX in Jersey and in 4 hours of playing, I didn't break one ball...
I decided to upgrade the cosmetics...
This is what I have now:
RPG Exile body W/Strangler feed neck, AGD Detent, 12 Inch Dye Boomstick, Snatch Grip, Stick Grip, RPG Splinter rail with RT-Pro Sear and Pin...Same 9V Revvy, Valve, tank, bolt, intelli and paint used from PBX...
I ran through the first hopper at moderate pace and had one barrel break a quarter way through...Cleaned it out and continued. Got another barrel break about half way through...I thought this odd...So i thouroughly cleaned the barrel...the feed neck seemed slightly loose so I tightned that and didn't overtighten the 9V this time in the sleeve...I also had the Detent very tight...I loosened that up abit just making it snug and thats all...
I regased and filled up my hopper and went through the whole hopper at moderate pace without breaking a ball...
Could the neck being loose or the detent being over tight cause barrel breaks?
Again, this was all cosmetics, except for the new sear & pin, I never touched the valve...
I have a 10 inch Stiffi coming so I'll try a different barrel, but I can;t see it being the Boomstick...
Would the 9V revvy make a difference...I wasn;t shooting that fast and I'm conscious of not short stroking...
Any ideas you may have would be great.
Thanks,
Vin C
