    Yep Basicly...

But make sure you wire it EXACTLY as shown or you will have problems. Take your time reading this post.

Edit: I only use Plainview NiMH 9.6v batteries from now on. They charge to a consistant 10.55 volts and give the Warp a bit more speed.

Hey BlackVCG, I had the same idea as what you did, except I had a 9volt and 2 AAs hooked up thinking it would put 12V into the warp, do you have regulators on there, or does hooking it up like that make it give the 10.55 volts automatically???? Thanx, cuz Ive been wondering why I can't get my 9V and AAs to work in unity!

            ENDO!

Yeah because the circut is in paralell. Parallell circuts do not increase voltage they just make the cell "bigger" and able to handle more load. You can hook up 1000 battaties in paralell and still have 9 volts. But your warp will spin forever.

If you wanted to double the voltage you would have to make a series circut. This multiplies volatge but leaves the cell capacity the same. If you hooked 1000 battaries in series you will have 9000 volts but the run time and load capacity would be the same as a normal 9v.

So to answer your question you probably have your battaries hooked up in paralell. This isolates the cells that have lower volatge. I suggest NOT hooking the batteries up in series because mixing 9v's and AAs are a no no. They might cause battaries to leak.

I really hate this concept. But it seems to work without issues and makes you all happy, so I really can't knock it.

                  Yet I still hate it.

Two voltage sources in parallel is bad.

Now the question is, do you get the same life from two batteries used individually?

When is someone going to come up with a good AA mod? I haven't measured the compartment, but if AAs fit, you'll get more current and won't be charging a 9v with another 9v.

                    AA mod...

i dont think it would fit...

Im going to try a AAA mod and see if that works. It would be a pain in the butt though because you would have to solder 6AAs together in a battary pack. I dont think they would fit if we put them in holders.

AGD has a AA battery pack that holds 4 AA's to create 6v's. 4 AA's is all the battery compartment will fit.

                      Here's a 12V setup.

Not to continue a thread forever but the problem with putting rechargable batteries in parallel is that when one battery discharges down the other battery will actually charge up the weaker one. Don't mix batteries of different types or voltages though because a 9.6v Nimh will get really hot if connected to a 7.2v Nimh and charge both at the same time. The AA mod should last as long as 4 9v batteries this is why halo uses AA's. Good luck and if it works do it.
