    very low velocity problem

I recently got a used Micromag and in the process of replacing the o-rings in the valve I took apart the regulator piston (I know, stupid). The gun then leaked out the back of the valve and even with the velocity cranked way up the balls would only go a few feet and just fall. I replaced it with a new regulator piston and the leaking has stopped, but I'm still having the same trouble. No matter how high I adjust the velocity the only go about 30 feet. And I have to turn it way up to get them to go that far. Any suggestions? I'm new to mags so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You said you cranked the velocity way up.... Have you chronoed your gun to see what the velocity really is? Is the regulator venting when you turn your velocity up and you are only shooting 30 ft?
